Colin Kidder

My process begins with a mental image of a three dimensional form. I let this image incubate for a bit while I sketch and take notes. Then I determine how to construct the piece. I have an appreciation for the minimal in my work. I also believe that honest humor is one of the greatest political tools. Ultimately, my work is about human relationships, but the themes are as disparate as love, indifference, war, faith, isolation, racism, sex, conversation, freedom, and what it means to be an artist.
